Zinc-nickel plating is a high-performance corrosion protection coating applied to steel hydraulic components such as fittings, adaptors and flanges.
The coating combines zinc’s sacrificial protection with nickel’s barrier properties, delivering significantly greater corrosion resistance than conventional zinc plating.
The MotusCoat™ system is Cr(VI)-free and complies with modern environmental and OEM requirements.
In salt spray testing, zinc-nickel coatings can achieve up to 1,500 hours resistance to red rust, depending on specification and application.
Zinc-nickel plated components are typically produced in accordance with DIN 50979 and equivalent ISO coating systems such as ISO 19598, with corrosion performance verified to ISO 9227.
